Westfalia Metal Hoses: New office building in Hilchenbach

After just three months of construction Westfalia Metallschlauchtechnik GmbH & Co. KG moved into its new office building in Hilchenbach, Germany.

Previously, two old buildings had to give way on the factory premises. The modular construction of the new building is designed as an energy-efficient building.

"With the new premises, we have created an optimal work environment for our employees that promotes communication and cross-departmental collaboration," explains Norbert Tillemans, Managing Director Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain Management. For around 40 employees, various office and conference rooms are now available in an area of 920 m². Previously, their workplaces spread to different buildings on the site.

In the coming year, Westfalia Hilchenbach, which has been part of the Heitkamp & Thumann Group since 1992, can look back on a 110-year corporate history. The Heitkamp & Thumann Group has invested around € 1.5 million in the new building. From Hilchenbach the worldwide activities of the business unit Westfalia Metal Hoses of the Heitkamp & Thumann Group are managed. Almost 500 employees in four countries work for the leading manufacturer of flexible exhaust decoupling elements, of which around 160 are located in Hilchenbach.
