Inauguration of new production plant at H&T Presspart Tarragona

On the 17th September 2019 at H&T Presspart’s site in Tarragona (Spain), the new production plant ‘Fenix’ was officially unveiled. The plant will manufacture injection-moulded plastic components for the pharmaceutical industry.

During the ceremony the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Tarragona, Laura Roige and GlaxoSmithKline representative Kirsty Bourner, performed a ceremonial ribbon cutting alongside Managing Directors of H&T Presspart Tarragona Thomas Portune and Dana Shears to officially launch production. With this investment, H&T Presspart will continue to be a world leader of injection-moulded pharmaceutical components.

Thomas Portune spoke about the importance of the investment, stating: “Our new digital and highly automated plant will be able to manufacture over 300 million of pharmaceutical components a year. This investment will allow us to continue to support our customers in improving patients’ lives with pulmonary diseases whilst maintaining our position within the global market. Today is a day of celebration and is great news for our local area and company group. A big thank you to everyone involved in the Fenix project and making it a reality”.
