H&T Battery Components Dongguan: Celebrating completion of capacity expansion

H&T Battery Components a division of the family owned Heitkamp & Thumann Group, Dusseldorf (Germany) is celebrating the completion of the second phase of its Dongguan (China) plant expansion.

The Heitkamp & Thumann Group has allocated RMB 32 Mio. (€ 4.4 Mio.) since 2013 for the investment carried out in two phases, adding nearly 4,100 m² of additional production space in Dongguan. The extension paves the wave to increase the production volume by 50% within the next 3 years to meet the growing demand for battery components of H&T Dongguan’s customers.

H&T Dongguan is part of Heitkamp & Thumann Group’s H&T Battery Components Division, the world's largest manufacturer of battery components for the consumer battery market and a fast-growing supplier for lithium ion battery technologies applied in hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles.

H&T Dongguan started its production in April 1998 as a wholly foreign-owned company, set up to deliver the Division’s customers in the Asian regions. The H&T Battery Components Division comprises in total five productions facilities in the U.S., Germany, Singapore and China with about 600 employees. The Heitkamp & Thumann Group employs globally more than 2.000 employees.
