Heitkamp & Thumann Group participates in B20 Summit in Osaka

Mid-March the B20 Summit 2019 took place in Osaka, Japan. The German delegation to the Summit, consisting of representatives from companies and business federation was headed by Christian Diemer, CEO & General Partner of the Heitkamp & Thumann Group.

During the Summit he elaborated on opportunities and challenges of the digital transformation, saying “digitalization is an integral part of our daily business – both the positive and the negative sides. The digital transformation of industrial processes enables many new business models as well as efficiency gains along the entire supply chain. However, digitalization does also entail challenges: cybersecurity, a lack of IT-experts and a lack of high-speed digital infrastructure.”

The B20 is an integral part of the political G20 process, representing the entire G20 business community. The mission of the B20 is to support the G20 through consolidated representation of interests, concrete policy proposals, and expertise.

Heitkamp & Thumann Groups founder and shareholder Jürgen R. Thumann is one of the initial architects of the preceding format, the B8 Summit, launched during his Presidency at the Federation of German Industries from 2004 to 2008. For more information about the B20 see: www.b20germany.org
