14 Teams started for the Heitkamp & Thumann Group at the Duesseldorf Marathon

In Total 56 runners – compared to 44 in the previous year – represented the Heitkamp & Thumann Group in the team relay competition at the Metro Group Duesseldorf marathon on April 24th, 2016. This marked a new participation record for the Group. Similar to last year employees from all four German locations (Marsberg, Hilchenbach, Crimmitschau and Duesseldorf) and employees from the Czech location in Hustopeče participated and were supported by their colleagues. The fastest team completed the marathon in 3 hours and 15 minutes. Therewith it finished on the 74^th position out of 2.691 relay teams. This also marked a record for a Heitkamp & Thumann Group team.

The Duesseldorf Marathon has established a renowned position among the national and international marathon events since 2003. Overall, around 17.000 athletes participated in this year’s Event.
