H&T Waterbury: Partnering with Waterbury Career Academy in Student Video Competition

H&T Waterbury, a company of the Heitkamp & Thumann Group, partnered with Waterbury Career Academy, a local high school to collaborate on the creation of a video in response to the theme “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing”. The video was produced by a team of students who had the chance to learn about H&T Waterbury’s products, operations, and staff while exploring all the “cool” things a career in manufacturing offers.

The video competition is run by “Connecticut. Dream It. Do It.” a nationwide effort, supported by industry associations, to create a positive image of manufacturing today. The time and effort students spend researching and producing the videos are helping opening their eyes to the many career opportunities in today’s manufacturing industry.

All participating teams submitted their videos for judging and online voting and the partnering student team of H&T Waterbury won the online vote.

H&T Waterbury, USA, is one of five operating manufacturing facilities globally forming the H&T Battery Components Division of the Heitkamp & Thumann Group and is the world's largest manufacturer of battery components for the primary and secondary battery market.
